Luton's Christmas market is the Keech Hospice one at Barnfield College, 28 and 29 November, 10am to 4pm, £3 entry, free parking. Plus Hat Gardens on 12 Dec.
Luton does not have a continental-style Christmas market in the town centre, so the one to know about is a charity market. The Keech Christmas Market is at Barnfield College, New Bedford Road, LU2 7BF, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026, 10am to 4pm both days. Entry is £3, £2 for concessions and free for under 14s, paid on the door, and parking on site is free (Keech Hospice Care).
The council’s own festive programme in the town centre is a run of one-day events rather than a market. The one already listed for 2026 is Christmas in Hat Gardens on Saturday 12 December, 12pm to 4pm, free (Explore Luton).
Is there a Christmas market in Luton this year?
Yes, and it is confirmed. Keech Hospice has published the 2026 dates, times and prices on its own events page, and says its stallholder spaces are now fully booked, with a waiting list open. That is the best sign the weekend is going ahead at full size.
What is not yet published is the list of stallholders. Keech says it will share them “in the autumn” on its Facebook event page. We will add the highlights here when they appear.

Source for every line: Keech Hospice Care.
Keech describes it as local artisan stalls, handmade gifts, cakes and crafts, Keech Christmas goods, festive refreshments and a raffle. The refreshment area is run by volunteers and serves hot food, snacks and drinks across the weekend, with the profits going to the hospice. The Luton Brass Band is playing, and Keech says more entertainment will be announced nearer the time.
A few practical points from the organiser’s own FAQ:
- Bring some cash. Many stallholders take cards, but Keech warns that mobile signal and wi-fi can be patchy inside the building.
- Access: step-free, with accessible toilets, and suitable for wheelchairs and prams.
- Dogs: registered assistance dogs only.
Every penny raised goes to Keech Hospice, which provides specialist care for local adults and children with life-limiting conditions. In 2024 the market was held the weekend of 23 and 24 November, also at Barnfield, with around 50 stallholders, and Keech described it then as opening the college’s doors to “thousands of happy shoppers” (Explore Luton, 2024 listing).
Want a stall?
Too late for a guaranteed one. Keech’s page says it is fully booked and offers a waiting list. For reference, a stall is £45 per table per day, with 10% off for booking both days, and each table is 2ft 6in by 6ft. Stallholders cannot bring their own tables or stands. If you give 100% of your takings to Keech, the stall fee is waived as long as the amount raised at least matches it.
Christmas in Hat Gardens
Not a market, but it is the town-centre Christmas afternoon. The council’s Explore Luton listing has Saturday 12 December 2026, 12pm to 4pm, in Hat Gardens, free: giant walkabout performers, local artists playing festive favourites, a post box for letters to Santa and face painting. The listing says to “check back closer to the time for more information” (Explore Luton).
The rest of the town-centre programme, including the lights switch-on on 21 November, is on our Luton Christmas lights switch-on page. Last year’s full festive line-up was published in the week before the switch-on.
What about Luton Hoo?
The Luton Hoo Estate ran a one-day Christmas Market in its Walled Garden on Sunday 7 December 2025, free entry with £2 parking (Luton Hoo Estate). No 2026 market is on the estate’s events calendar yet. This year the Walled Garden is hosting Christmas at Luton Hoo Estate, a ticketed trail and ice rink run by TAG Live from 4 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 (Luton Hoo Estate). Details are on our Christmas at Luton Hoo Estate page. If a separate market is announced we will add it here.

Getting there and parking
Barnfield College has free parking on site for market visitors, according to Keech. For the town-centre events, council car park charges and the evening rates are on our parking in Luton page, and any road closures for the festive events will be on Luton roadworks and travel.
